Rope access welding

Background

I started Rope Access Welding because I've long seen a need in the industry to specialize beyond just ropes in order for us to become truly skilled at what we do. I've been working in rope access for about 20 years, like we all were back then, an enthusiastic climber who jumped at the chance to get paid for doing things on ropes. Both myself and the industry have since evolved immensely and become significantly safer and more professional. However, my goal with RAW is to take the next step in the development of rope work.
When I first entered the certified world, I chose SOFT, but I have since realized the advantages of SPRAT, and I have been a SPRAT Level 3 for many years now. While my electrical training has been useful, my passion is welding, which I've had the opportunity to develop both on the ground and in the ropes over the years.
Why the name "Rope Access Welding"? I wanted the name to be clear, precise and to the point in describing what we do.
